How To Copy XBOX 360 Games

Today I want to cover a question that I've read a lot of misinformation about - how to copy xbox 360 games. I've seen a number of websites that post information about copying xbox games, but a lot of them are outdated and to be frank - they're dead wrong!

I think this is because copying xbox games has become a lot easier than it used to be. The main difference is that you don't have to install a "mod chip" into your xbox in order to be able to use copied games.

What's a mod chip?

It's an actual chip that gets installed inside of your system and then "modifies" it so that it is able to do things that it couldn't before. In the past, the only way to copy xbox games and have them work was to install one of these.

The hassle with this is that you had to actually break open your game system case and fiddle around with the components. Many people were nervous about doing this for obvious reason. And these chips cost money which made it an added expense.

Today you don't need a mod chip to be able to burn a game and then use it on your xbox. It's a big relief for people wondering how to copy xbox 360 games.

The only thing you need these days is a quality game copying program. This is a piece of software that is able to burn video games and produce a working copy.

Have you ever tried to copy an xbox 360 game?

  • Yup sure have!

As you might already know, xbox 360 games have a type of copyright protection on them that blocks your computer from being able to copy them.

This means that a "regular" burning software won't do anything.....well......it will waste a blank disc :)

However, there are game copying programs available that have the technology to bypass any of these copyright restrictions. I'm not a "techy" so I don't understand HOW it works, all I know is that it DOES work. The technology is able to produce exact 1:1 copies of any xbox 360 game.

So answering how to copy xbox 360 games is easy - you need to install one of these programs. The process is then super easy:

1) Insert the game disc and press a button

2) The program will copy the game data and create a temporary file of the data on your hard drive

3) Insert a blank disc and press another button

4) The game data file will be burned onto the disc and leaves you with an exact copy

If it sounds really easy, I did that intentionally :) Copying xbox games is easy, as long as you get a reputable program.

If you're someone who has an xbox, getting this type of program is a good idea. They're cheap and then you always have a way to backup your games. Blank discs are so cheap nowadays that it costs you only pennies to make a copy of any game.

Now that you know how to copy xbox 360 games, happy burning!
