Copy Video Games

There's many gamers out there that are wondering how they can copy video games. The PS3, Nintendo Wii and XBOX are so popular these days that it's not surprising to see people wondering how they can backup their games.

Copying games is a good idea since you never do know when the game disc might become lost or damaged. If you happen to scratch your game accidentally, if you haven't backed it up you are all of a sudden faced with the need to buy it all over again.

Thankfully, it is possible to copy video games when you have the right software on your computer.

You won't be able to copy video games if you just try to use the same software that you do to burn music cds. I know I tried this many years ago only to find out I had wasted a blank disc! :)

Game discs have a type of protection - like a guard - on them that blocks computers from being able to read the data. If the computer isn't able to read the game data then obviously it can't make a copy.

There is specialty software available that makes it possible to copy video games.  Whether you have am XBOX or Nintendo Wii, you can make backups of your games on your computer with a blank dvd disc.

Please don't make illegal copies of course!  We are encouraging people to backup the games they already own to protect them.  I don't think it's right to just burn games you don't own in order to not have to pay for them.

Now with some systems you might have to install some type of "modware" for the burned discs to work on your system.  It's easy to do though and the game copying program will list it out step by step for you.

One of the better tools that a gamer can get is this type of video game copying program.  It's useful for so many different reasons.

And as a side note, many of these programs will also let you burn dvd movies.
